Our makers have developed their own brand and through this they are the first manufacturers in South India to recycle cotton yarn into fabrics using Ringspun (2).

By using post consumer waste and pre-consumer knitted garments' cut waste, where they open the waste and then mix with virgin Organic Cotton.  Creating their own standard blend of 70% virgin cotton with 30% recycled cotton.  This fabric is suitable for solid colour with a count range below 30s.

Available to service large orders, they have their own opening unit and spinning mill that has been modified to process the recyled yarn, all with GRS 3.0 certification.  Regular clients include Levis, Diesel, LUR, Arvind Denim, Arvind Weaving and Arvind Knitting.

They also produce recycled cotton yarn using both black and blue denim waste plus produce Melange for knitting and weaving.

(1) The Global Recycle Standard (GRS) was originally developed by Control Union Certifications in 2008 and ownership was passed to the Textile Exchange on 1 January 2011. The GRS is an international, voluntary, full product standard that sets requirements for third-party certification of recycled content, chain of custody, social and environmental practices and chemical restrictions.

(2) Ringspun cotton is smoother and longer yarn compared to open-end yarn. In addition, ringspun yarn goes through a spinning process that softens and straightens each fiber. The end result of ring spun is a more refined fibre.
