how to get tarted

STSC are fabric wholesalers who aim to inspire global fashion and product designers to use true sustainable eco-textiles that have minimal negative impact on the environment and maximum impact on the welfare of all people along the supply chain.

Our particular focus is on beautiful, truly sustainable, circular, natural, biodegradable and ethical fabrics. In particular we specialise in eco-fabrics by Lenzing and plant fibres from so-called ”farm waste" typically destroyed after a harvest, thus creating fabrics that start from zero water waste, and support a ”wealth from waste" philosophy.

Follow the @circularcentre.sydney for information about the
Circular Centre and initiatives such as our Circular Textile Waste Service, Circular Denim and #iamcarbonpositive

We either provide additional services or recommend depending on needs these include: CMT, Australia and india, ECO-DIGITAL PRINTING. in India.  DYEING with AZO-Free dyes, GOTS or natural plant dyes.

And we definitely do not support putting recycled synthetic or rPET back into the fashion supply chain for everyday garments and only for raincoats and interiors - its bad for our oceans, the environment and human health.  Don't use it, and if in remnant fabrics or existing garments like school uniforms then please purchase and re-sell GUPPYFRIEND Washing Bags to capture their plastic microfibres.

JOIN THE SUSTAINABLE FASHION REVOLUTION

STSC link people worldwide to make available true sustainable, ethically sourced eco-textiles plus gives designers the opportunity to work with talented makers and Artisans based in India for their own Bespoke and Made To Order designs.

We are committed to support, and positively impact, the lives of the people and communities who create products that are both ethical and sustainable; this includes everyone along our supply chain - from the raw material farmers, to you, the client - the game-changing designer who strives to support the people you work with, the environment and your customers.

STSC is privileged to have been chosen in the inaugural Emerging Material Innovators Report, as compiled by Cradle 2 Cradle's, Fashion Positive and the H&M Foundation for Banana Silk in April 2018.

MINIMUM ORDER QUANTITIES.  In some instances our fabrics are made-to-order by the roll or by the metre and typical standards are often 1,000 metre MOQs.  STSC cater to very large commercial orders plus have established the Sustainable Textiles Club to support emerging designers worldwide who require only small MOQs.

We work to develop close-knit supply chains to minimise our production's environmental footprint plus strive to create circular economies.

Businesses are added to our Supply Chains who we know use sustainable resources, plus show environmentally and socially responsible practices that actively contribute to India’s social, economic and environmental improvement.

Our goal is to create a booming sustainable fabric industry and focus on "wealth from waste" fibres that will support families, particularly farmers and women Artisans in India.

Businesses we support range from women working from home, through to professionally accredited large production houses.

The Circular Centre is a solutions based inter-industry Centre geared to facilitate circular economy initiatives.  We aim to showcase and foster collaboration through the lens of circular economy products and services including design, fashion, textiles and textile waste.

The Centre's first initiatives are a Circular Textile Waste Service and #iamcarbonpositive.

STSC work with the Tamil Nadu Agricultural University's Eco Green Unit to support their "Wealth From Waste" Project.

The Unit have worked to develop an improved Fibre Extraction Machine, and along with additional support from Prime Minister Modi's Make In India initiative, the Eco Green Unit offer subsidies to banana farmers and communities to help them purchase machines and receive training.

By working with STSC you will help make a difference as we pledge to donate a % from each sale to a dedicated fund so we can purchase and gift Fibre Extraction Machines to farming communities.

Currently only 10% of banana pseudo stems are used for making fabric or products after each harvest.  The majority is removed at great cost to the farmer, and often burnt, adding to local air pollution.  We aim to change this.

We acknowledge the Traditional Owners of the country on which we live on today, the Gadigal people of the Eora nation, and recognise their continuing connection to land, waters and culture. We pay our respects to their Elders past, present and emerging.

Sovereignty has never been ceded. It always was and always will be, Aboriginal land. We recognise the past atrocities against Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples of this land and that Australia was founded on the genocide and dispossession of First Nations people.
