Lenzing's trademarked Modal is from a sustainable foresty source and made Closed Loop, and verified as achieving the highest sustainabler rating.

Its compared to a Rayon where there is slight difference in the feel and drape of Rayon vs Modal. However "regular" rayon and "viscose" that is not able to be traced to a sustainable source is most likely to be causing mass deforestation, and in some cases, cutting down endangered forests. www.canopyplanet.org

Our Modal comes with accredited swing tags so you can transparently show your sustainable fabrics, however given the similarities to Rayon, and that most designers will know the feel of rayon and/or can easily go to a fabric store to feel the weight etc, then we feel that its unnecessary to ship Sample Books of Modal and maintain that its more important to keep our carbon footprint down.

Our low MOQs and belief in the beauty and feel of these fabrics, we feel offers designers an opportunity to try the true sustainable fabrics through this method and not via Sample Books.
