The Sustainable Textile Supply Chain works with a range of Fabric Mills, Artisans and Suppliers across the globe who aim to inspire creatives to design with true sustainable eco-textiles that have minimal negative impact on the environment and maximum impact on the welfare of all people along the supply chain.
We focus on beautiful, truly sustainable, circular, natural, biodegradable and ethical textiles that are either handloom, powerloom or knitted to each clients order. These include GOTS Organic Cotton, GOTS Organic Peace Silk, Ayurvastra Textiles., CircStretch Knits as well as a range textiles from LENZING™ such as TENCEL™, MODAL™ , TENCEL™ Luxe, ECOVERO™, TENCEL™ x REFIBRA™.
Our specialty fabrics include blends such as Organic Cotton and Banana Stem, Organic Cotton and Calotropis to make Plant “Cashmere”, Organic Cotton and Nettle, Organic Cotton and Silk, Jute and Hemp blends as well Recycled Wool and Yulex and Lexcell Compostable Neoprene Foam.
STSC also provides additional colouration services for our range of fabrics. These include Natural Plant Dyeing, Eco Digital Printing, AZO-Free Pantone Match Dyes and Pure Plant Based Dyeing with Ayurvedic Medicinal Plants and Herbs.

Alison has developed CircStretch; a collection of eco-stretch knit textiles safe to home compost leaving zero toxic plastic microfibres plus wealth from waste textiles like banana plant fibre, nettle and recycled wool. Alison is working with MANIPAL Academy of Higher Education and SITRA to create a Certification for Banana Plant Textiles

ALISON’s varied career includes a contemporary fine art curator, Associate Dealer with Sothebys New York, art gallery director, PR & event coordinator.
Formerly a PR & Marketing Consultant for 20+ years Alison worked as a PR Consultant for Hill & Knowlton London, on Athens 2004 Olympic Bid, and Duke of Edinburgh International Award with Buckingham Palace.
Alison also worked at mid-size PR agencies specializing in Sponsorship & Special Event Coordination including Icewalk: Walk to the North Pole, the Canon Taxi Ride from London to Sydney & National Trust Heritage Week.
Intermixed with these fields, Alison's dual career was formerly a Fine Art Curator, Gallery Director & Contemporary Art Dealer for 22 years in Sydney, Berlin, Los Angeles and New York. When in the US she was chosen to become an associated Fine Art Dealer with Sothebys in New York plus owned several of her own art galleries in Sydney and SoHo, NYC.
Following years of extraordinary research Alison has built relationships with Makers and Artisans in India who value sustainable and ethical textiles, while supporting the environment and their employees.
She cares passionately for the future of our shared environment, using her extensive and versatile career knowledge in public relations and marketing, event coordination, and fine art curation to create businesses which aim to “be the change you wish to see in the world”. - Mahatma Gandhi
Originally from the rural NSW City, Orange, Alison has always held a powerful connection to the hard-working people of the land. However it was during her first trip to India in 2008, that Alison became connected to the country and its people. Alison and her husband from Kerala, now share an Indian-Australian, eco-warrior son named Watson and stay closely connected to their Indian family.
The Sustainable Textile Supply Chain was born to share knowledge, encourage and inspire designers to collaboratively embrace the exponential shift towards sustainable eco-products. Alison and her team aim to build larger sustainable and ethical supply chains which support Indian communities, farming families and traditional Artisans who hold remarkable knowledge, experience and passion for making textiles to the highest level of sustainability.
